Biotechnology Wet Lab course Details

Our laboratories are located in Biotech Park, Gomtinagar,Lucknow and Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA. These laboratories are equipped with latest instruments for molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology and animal cell culture. We also have animal house facility for non-primate mammals. Besides our services and R&D activities, we also provide hands-on-training to undergraduate and postgraduate students to enhance their practical skills and fill the gap between academecia and industry to provide them exposure for industry or research.

Beginner's module:-

The beginner's module is the first step towards doing research at a primary level to just acquaint oneself with the feeling of working in a scientific environment for a very short duration.Each of the modules are designed for meeting specific requirements.

1. Basic PCR Techniques (2-3 weeks)
2. Gel Electrophoresis and SDS PageTechniques (2-3 weeks)
3. DNA Forensics (2-3 weeks)
4. Plant Tissue Culture (2-3 weeks)
5. Basic Molecular Biology (2-3 weeks)
6. Immunotechnology (2-3 weeks)
7. clinical Biochemistry (2-3 weeks)
8. Recombinant DNA Technology (2-3 weeks)

Foundation module:-

The foundation module is aimed to serve a two fold purpose .Most of students and trainees are on a look out of one month training.Apart fom serving this purpose the foundation module is actually designed to assist as a preparatory bench work for standard laboratory practices and for the Expert Module work.

14. Clinical Biochemistry & immunotechnology (4-5 weeks)
15. Plant tissue culture/mushroom cultivation (4-5 weeks)
16. Biochemical Technology (4-5 weeks)
17. Fermentation technology (4-5 weeks)
18. Advanced Molecular Biology (4-5 weeks)

Expert Module:-

The Expert Module serves its purpose to meet exclusive hard core research work on specific topics across the firld of biological sciences.The trainee proceeds to expertise on one particular area of interest after obtaining a months' training on the basic tecchniques.However there are also provisions to design the module as a project oriented work credit for academic excellence as well.

Applied Module:-

currently the field of Biological sciences finds an interesting Scenario that involves an interdisciplinary approach and one that needs expertise across several disciplines.The Applied Module is solely based on this approach to use several insilico and invivo tools in order to achieve a research based performance for trainees.Mostly it combines training along with a topic oriented work that comes out as a full fledged project along with industrial experience
